J&K records 382 new COVID-19 cases, 6 deaths

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday recorded 382 new COVID-19 cases while six more people died of the pandemic during the past 24 hours.

Giving details, an official press release informed that of the 382 new infections, 198 were reported from Kashmir division and 184 were from Jammu division. With these cases, the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir recorded thus far rose to 1,16,008.

Six more COVID-19 deaths were also reported, three each from Kashmir and Jammu regions, which took the overall death toll across the union territory to 1799, the officials said. So far 1151 persons have died because of the pandemic in Kashmir division and 648 persons in Jammu division.

They said 505 COVID-19 patients have recovered and have been discharged from various hospitals including 267 from Jammu division and 238 from Kashmir division, in past 24 hours.
