Ex Power Commissioner expires, death widely mourned
Srinagar: Ghulam Hassan Rather former power commissioner J&K breathed his last Sunday morning at his residence. He was 73.
Large number of people attended his Namaz e Jinazah.
Rather was a dedicated people-friendly officer and his demise has been mourned widely.
He was brother of former PDP legislator and now Apni Party leader, Abdul Rahim Rather.
Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Sunday expressed deep shock and grief over the demise describing the deceased as, a thorough gentleman who was known for his administrative acumen in the department besides his humility and compassionate behavior among the people and his vast social circles.
Other leaders of Apni Party also condoled the demise and expressed solidarity with bereaved Abdul Rahim Rather.
