SRINAGAR: The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole today chaired a meeting of officers to take stock of work process  about various ongoing  road projects in Kashmir.

The meeting, among others was attended by DC Srinagar, DC Kulgam, ADCs and ACRs from other districts, representatives from RAMKY, BRO, Beacon and other concerned agencies and departments through videoconferencing.

CE PWD, CE Transmission, Conservator Forests Kashmir, AC Central and other concerned officers also attended the meeting.

At the outset, the Div Com took a detailed reviews of the pace and progress made on the development of ongoing road projects including Semi Ring Road, Srinagar- Barammula- Uri Kamanpost Road, Srinagar- Sonamarg- Gumri Road, Srinagar- Qazigund- Banihal Road, Srinagar- Pulwama- Shopian- Kulgam  NH 444 and Uri- Poonch road project.

During the meeting, the Div Com stressed on the speedy completion of estimate work and instructed concerned to  submit details on charges to be spent  on shifting and realignment of public utilities including Transmission towers, HT, LT lines, Bus Stops, public conveniences and other coming under Semi Ring Road construction and other road projects.

He directed concerned DCs and HoDs to ensure all required details regarding shifting of all public utilities including water supply schemes , irrigation schemes  and others coming under the road construction is completed and submitted at war footing to facilitate smooth and swift work process.

He instructed concerned to submit mutation of acquired and handed over land besides timely disbursement of funds as compensation to the land owners whose land is acquired under semi ring road and other projects.

The Div Com stressed that speedy construction work is carried on all road projects, besides instruction were given for work on land acquisition, demarcation, release of compensation, shifting of public utilities, construction of bridges and culverts, alignments and realignments  works, smoothening of sharp turns, removal of illegal structures and roadside encroachments and related works on these projects is ensured on fast track basis in every district.
