“With a heavy heart, we are writing this resignation letter to you as we have no option but to quit the party which has unfortunately been hijacked by the unscrupulous and communal elements with mysterious character,” read the resignation letter, signed by the trio, to PDP president Mehbooba Mufti.

“Since the demise of late Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, the senior leaders especially those who were the founder members of the party are feeling suffocated and humiliated by the communal and unscrupulous elements who have been given freehand by the leadership just to create divisions in J&K,” the letter read.
