NCC celebrates 72nd Raising Day

SRINAGAR: The world’s largest uniformed youth organization, National Cadet Corps (NCC) celebrated its 72nd Raising Day on 22 November, 2020, here.

On the occasion, NCC Gp Cdr Srinagar, Brig Kapil Sood inspected the Guard of Honour, and a Sainik Sammelan was also conducted by the Republic Day Contingent Commander.

Later, a Blood donation camp was organised by Jammu and Srinagar Gp at their respective places.

Meanwhile, the NCC cadets of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh region are undergoing Pre-RDC training at Nagrota from 20 November, 2020 to 20 December 2020 being conducted by NCC Gp, Srinagar. The training is meant for selection of Republic Day Contingent for the UT of J&K and Ladakh combine.

Precursor to the commencement of the camp, the compulsory COVID Test was conducted for all the people attending it.

During the camp, the NCC cadets will be undertaking Physical, weapon and drill training besides other cultural, social activities like Swachh Bharat Drive, Traffic awareness, Tree plantation and many more.
