Training Programme for Zonal, Sectoral Magistrates held at Shopian

SHOPIAN: To ensure smooth conduct of upcoming District Development Council (DDC) and Panchayat by-elections in the district, a training programme for Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates was held here today.

The training programme was carried out under the supervision of District Panchayat Election officer Shopian, Chaudry Mohammad Yasin.

During the training, the DPEO said that the Magistrates are the first point of communication for smooth conduct of the election process and they play a vital role in conducting the election peacefully and impartially.

He directed all the Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates to follow the guidelines framed by the Election Commission of India (ECI) in letter and spirit besides, ensuring error- free polling process.

Earlier, the Master trainer explained the role of Magistrates and Sectoral Magistrates and other team leaders in the Election Process.

Among others the training programme was attended by Deputy DEO, Nodal Officer for Trainings, all Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates and other concerned.
