Polling stations finalized at Ganderbal

GANDERBAL: District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today held a meeting with the political representatives to discuss various representations regarding change of location of several Polling Stations in the district.

After through discussion, a list of polling stations along with location was finalized as per guidelines of ECI.

During the meeting it was given out that 743 polling stations are earmarked at 246 locations for DDC elections, Panchayat by-election in the district besides location of distribution/collection center was also discussed.

Arrangements with regard to elections put in place by the District Administration was also discussed and DPEO assured the representatives of political parties that all arrangements are already put in place for conducting smooth, free and fair elections in the district.

The meeting was attended by SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Poswal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmad Baba, Dy. DPEO, SDM Kangan, Tehsildars, SHOs besides representatives of all political parties in the district.
