DDC Anantnag holds interaction cum counselling session with prospective Entrepreneurs

ANANTNAG: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, K.K. Sidha who is also Chairman District Level Task Force Committee for J&K Rural Employment Generation Programme today held an interaction cum counselling session with prospective entrepreneurs at District Industries Center (DIC), here.

These prospective entrepreneurs had applied for financial assistance during recently concluded third phase of Back to Village programme in the district.

While interacting with the applicants, the DDC enquired about their educational backgrounds, skills, expertise and experiences. After proper counselling he assured them full support to channelize their energies towards positive and productive activities as per their skills and interests so that they get profitable employment and generate it for others as well.

Sidha on the occasion stressed upon the concerned authorities to work in close collaboration with the line departments like Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Industries etc to ensure proper financial assistance, guidance, counselling and hand holding of these prospective entrepreneurs so that their business units are viable and sustainable.

The applicants have sought financial assistance to start their ventures in diverse fields like Dairying, Sheep Husbandry, Grocery Stores, Tailoring, Restaurants, Shuttering and Vehicle Service Stations.

It is Important to mention here that many women have also applied for loan facilities to start their business units.

The event among others was attended by the members of the DLTFC for JKREGP.
