DDC polls: Advocate Rabia of Sheeri files nomination papers for Narvaw

Baramulla:  A young advocate and social worker Rabia Khursheed of Sheeri filed her nomination papers from Narvaw Constituency in Baramulla for the upcoming District Development Council (DDC) polls.

Contesting as an independent candidate, advocate Rabia claims that she us fighting elections only for the development of her constituency which he alleged has been neglected badly.

Talking to media persons after filling her nomination papers, she said that, her only motive is development and she is not associated with any political party.

“Many candidates are in fray and they were backed by one or other political party. But I am contesting the election with sole aim of development of my society and constituency,” she said.

After touring several areas of Narvaw Baramulla, I found eople are facing lot of hardships including shortage of portable drinking water, shortage of electricity and roads which are basic needs and facilities, she added.

“Keeping miseries and hardships of people in mind,  I decided to contest and have to motivate my parents and in-laws who finally allowed me to contest in the elections. I hope people will vote and support me and I believe that I will solve their problems,” she said.
