The WGAJK called a meeting in this regard wherein the members of the association congratulated honorable Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mr. Kiren Rijiju for the initiative.

On the occasion, President WGAJK Abass Wani said: “The initiative of establishing 500 Private Academies will benefit the sports sector across the county and it will also give a much-needed impetus to the winter sports in Jammu and Kashmir.”

Wani reiterated that Mr. Kiren Rijiju is the most visionary Sports Minister India ever had.

It is pertinent to mention that honorable Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mr. Kiren Rijiju had proposed the initiative this year during Khelo India Winter Games at Gulmarg. He had also announced a School of Excellency for Gulmarg.
