PCC General Secretary urges people to defeat BJP in BDC Elections
Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) General Secretary Surinder Singh Channi urged the people to defeat the divisive politics of BJP in the ensuing DDC elections.
PCC General Secretary visited Naristan, Aripal, Basantpora, Gudpora and Khasipora in Tral Assembly constituency today and met various delegations of locals, who apprised him about the hardships confronting them on account of electricity, road connective, supply of essential and many other issues, a spokesman of the party said in a statement issued today.
He said that Channi expressed serious concern over the issues concerning people and urged the Govt to address them on war footing basis.
Referring to the ensuing DDC Elections, PCC General Secretary stated that people have got a good opportunity to defeat the BJP in BDC, for the fact, it was the BJP Govt at Centre which was responsible for the crisis in J&K, said the spokesman.
“Congress Party is committed to work for the wellbeing of the people and it (Congress) will continue to fight against the wrong policies of BJP,” the spokesman quoted PCC General Secretary as saying.
