Kupwara: Army on Sunday claimed to have killed one militant while foiling an infiltration bid along the line of control LOC in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Srinagar based defense Spokesperson Rajesh Kalia said suspicious movement of unidentified persons detected by a patrolling party near LC fence at Machil Sector on night 7/8 Nov 2020 at 0100h.
Militants trying to infiltrate were intercepted by the alert troops, contact was established. One militant killed, he said.
He said one AK and two bags were recovered from the slain militant.
A police officer confirmed that operation in the border is in process.
