Div Com Jammu reviews progress of the ongoing works

JAMMU: Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today chaired a meeting to review the physical progress of the ongoing works.

The Div Com discussed in detail the progress on works at IIM, Jammu, including boundary wall work, precast paneled wall and chain link fencing and the issues related to it. He discussed the bottlenecks hampering the work with the Project Engineer, IIM, Jammu.

The Div Com also reviewed the progress on Ujh Multi Purpose Project, with the Chief Engineer RTIC, Jammu. It was informed that Environment/ Forest Tribal clearance are at advance stage, while investment clearance of the project is under process with Ministry of Jal Shakti.

Sanjeev Verma also discussed the progress of Gated Barrage across River Tawi Jammu with the Chief Engineer. He said that the structural and hydro mechanical design would be finalized by November end.

The pace of work on road from National Highway 44 ( Karli Power Station of Harijan Basti) connecting Jagti Simbal Lehar PMGSY road was also discussed with the Chief Engineer, PWD Jammu.

The meeting was attended by Commissioner, Excise Department, Jammu, Director, Industries, Jammu, Director, School Education, Jammu and Deputy Director, School Education, Jammu.
