Crime Branch books 2 persons for fraud, cheating

Srinagar: Crime Branch Jammu has registered a criminal case against two persons from south Kashmir for cheating several people on the pretext of getting them jobs.

According to a Crime Branch press release, case has been registered against Mohammad Rafiq Wani, son of Ghulam Rasool Wani of Levdura Qazigund, and Nazir Ahmed, son of Abdul Majeed Ganie of Banghall Devsar Kulgam, presently residing in Srinagar’s Khanyar area, for running a job racket and duping the unemployed youth of Rs 52.60 lakhs.

Crime Branch said the accused had claimed Rs 5 lakh each from several jobless youth after promising them jobs in government departments, banks and other private companies.
