Madni appeals Pak, Hurriyat to be part of peace initiative

Srinagar: Senior People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and former MLA Devsar on Sunday visited the homes of BJP activists who were shot dead by militants in Kulgam on Thursday evening.

According to news agency KNS, Mohammad Sartaj Madni visited the house of Fida Hussian Itoo, Umer Hajjam of YK Pora Qazigund, and Haroon Beigh of Sopat, and expressed sympathy with their families.

Madni also said that these incidents are taking place due to the wrong polices of Centre, and they (Centre) should immediately rethink its Kashmir policy.

Madni said that Kashmirs — whether they are from BJP, PDP, NC, or common people — are being victimized by all sides.

He also said that Central government should solve the long-pending issue of Kashmir at the earliest so the precious lives of people can be saved. (KNS)
