Traffic police issues traffic plan, advisory for Jammu-Srinagar NHW

Srinagar: In view of the movement of Darbar Move, employees from Srinagar towards Jammu, tomorrow vehicular movement on Jammu-Srinagar NHW shall be allowed from Srinagar towards Jammu, reads a communiqué issued by Traffic police J&K.

“Subject to fair weather and good road condition, commuters are advised to follow the SOP issued by the Govt. to prevent the spread of Covid 19. No vehicle shall be allowed from opposite direction,” reads the communiqué.

“Subject to fair weather and good road condition, (only downward traffic) load carriers carrying fresh fruits/vegetables shall be allowed from Herpora (Shopian) from 1100 hrs to 1600 hours towards Poonch. No vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing. Moreover, no passenger vehicle or pedestrian shall be allowed on Mughal Road.  Subject to fair weather and good road condition only essential commodity vehicles shall be allowed to ply on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road,” it said.
