BARAMULLA : The Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr. G N Ittoo today convened a meeting of concerned officers to take stock of various necessary arrangements in the wake of upcoming winter season.
On the occasion, threadbare discussions were held on various matters including availability of ration, LPG, smooth water and power supply and other winter necessities.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC stressed upon the concerned officers to ensure that all the requisite arrangements are put in place so that the people may not face any inconvenience in the coming winters.
He directed the concerned to work in coordination and cohesion and mobilize all the available resources in this regard. Moreover, DC emphasized to put in place a viable mechanism so that any kind of exigency, if any can be tackled smoothly.
He also directed the Mechanical division to keep men and machinery ready so as to tackle any emergency that may arise due to the snowfall and further directed to establish round the clock control rooms at different levels for registering the complaints and grievances of the general public.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Aijaz Abdullah Saraf, SEs of various line departments, SDMs, EOs, heads of various concerned departments among other functionaries.
