Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today extended full support to the regularization demand of agitating PHE employees and others, urging the Govt to take effective measures to address this pressing demand.

The PHE employees have pivotal role in ensuring water supply to every household, but they are being denied services benefits even after rendering their services for more than a decade, which is very unfortunate and needs to be addressed, at right earnest.

Reacting to the two days strike of PHE employees, JKPCC President G.A. Mir said that Congress supports the genuine demand of agitating PHE employees and others whole-heartedly and shall fight for resolution of their genuine issues.

Mir lashed out at the Govt for failing to address the genuine demand of the employees, who are working on a very meagre salary, with great dedication, besides serving people to the best of their ability.

He termed the attitude of the Govt as unfortunate, said that despite repeated pleas and agitations by the PHE employees, daily wagers, needs bases, casual labourers, who are demanding regularization of their services, no action in this direction, seems to have been taken so far on the part of Govt, PCC President said.

Mir said Govt has to finalize regularization process for employees working in different departments for a long time, who are not getting service benefits they deserve.

“I would emphasize the Govt to ensure regularization of PHE and other daily wagers, casual labourers working in different departments since decades to ensure that they are able to avail services benefits and live a dignified life,” said Mir.
