JAKLI organizes Jashn-e-Hunar

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regiment today organized an event ‘Jashn-e-Hunar’ in a bid to provide a platform to young and budding talent in the valley.

An army spokesman said that Jashn e Hunar was organized with an aim to inculcate the spirit of creativity among the youth particularly in the field of  fine arts like music, painting and movie making.

Kashmiri  Rappers Arsh, Rasik and Musaib created waves with their performance.

Meanwhile, musical segment was followed by release of a short movie ‘Who Dies’. In this silent nine minutes movie the director places a dying militant and a soldier in the same room and leaves the audiences with the question ‘WHO DIES’.

On the occasion, the young achievers of Kashmir were also felicitated by the Commandant  JAK LI Regimental  Centre.

The evening was anchored by Tasleem Khan who later indulged in on stage conversation with all of the above artists and the judges of the recently concluded ‘Kashmir ke sitare’, Ustad Sheik Yakoob, Gulzar Ah Ganie, and Waheed Jeelani.

The programme ended with the felicitation of all the Fine art performers by the Commandant JAK LI Regimental Centre Brig Sumesh Seth, VSM.
