22 persons injured in Ramban, Rajouri mishaps

Jammu: At least twenty two persons were injured in two separate road accidents that took place in Jammu province on Saturday, officials said.

Officials told KNO that one accident took place near Mehar in Ramban district while the other one occurred in Kheora area of Rajouri town.

In Ramban, officials said, a truck carrying some nomads and their cattle turned turtle along the Jammu-Srinagar highway near Mehar. “Fifteen persons were injured in the mishap who were shifted to the hospital for treatment,” officials said.

Similarly, seven persons were injured after a vehicle Sports Utility Vehicle collided with a three-wheeler auto rickshaw at Kheora area near Government Medical College Rajouri.

“Seven passengers travelling in the auto-rickshaw including the auto driver were injured in the accident and all have been admitted in Rajouri hospital,” officials said.
