Principal Secretary inaugurates Agriculture Complex, Aadhaar Seva Kendra at Kupwara, addresses public grievances redress camp

KUPWARA : The ambitious ‘My Town My Pride’ programme concluded here today with Principal Secretary, Agriculture Department, Navin Kumar Choudhary, participating in a multitude of activities held in Kupwara Town as part of the programme.

Principal Secretary was accompanied by District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Anshul Garg; Director Agriculture, Aijaz Altaf Andrabi; Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, ADC Kupwara, Chairman, Municipal Council Kupwara (MCK), besides, other concerned officers.

Principal Secretary inaugurated Agriculture Complex at Kupwara completed at a cost of Rs.1.50 crore and CSC Aadhaar Seva Kendra at ACD Office Kupwara.

Principal Secretary directed the concerned officers to facilitate the applicants in filling up of online application forms for JKPSC and JKSSB besides delivering prompt Aadhaar related services.

Principal Secretary also visited Agriculture Farm at Kupwara and inspected various varieties of vegetables being grown up in poly green houses.

Earlier, Principal Secretary addressed a public grievances redressal camp at Town Hall Kupwara in which ward members of Municipal Committee Kupwara and common citizens besides district administration participated.

On the occasion, various members and citizens raised their issues about development of Kupwara town.

Principal Secretary gave a patient hearing to the people and issued on spot directions to the concerned officers for resolving their issues in a time bound manner.

Principal Secretary directed the DDC to issue a blanket order regarding the SOPs of mining extraction in Nallahs flowing around the town. He directed the concerned to speed up the demolition of illegal structures and other encroachments in the town.

He also asked the DDC to inspect the land identified for establishment of Women College at Kralpora.

Later, Principal Secretary laid foundation stone for link road from Bye pass to Usmanabad in presence of DDC, Chairman MCK and other officers.
