Advisor KK Sharma gives away sanction orders to orchardists under beneficiary oriented schemes

JAMMU : Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, K K Sharma today visited Departmental stall of Horticulture Department put up here at Parade Ground under the My Town My Pride programme.

A large number of people visited the venue to avail 90 percent subsidy on three fruit plants per beneficiary being provided by the horticulture department. The subsidized plants were provided to the people with the aim to increase green cover in Jammu city, to produce organic fruits for home consumption and also to reduce pollution in the atmosphere.

Sanction letters of various beneficiary oriented schemes of the department were also distributed to the Orchardists by the Advisor on the spot.

Different kinds of fruits produced in Jammu were displayed at the stall and queries of the people regarding schemes of the department, fruits, fruit plants, pests and disease control were discussed in detail.

The Advisor was accompanied by Financial Commissioner Health and Medical Education, Atal Dullo, District Development Commissioner Jammu, Sushma Chouhan, and Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, Avni Lavassa besides other concerned.
