Hasnain Masoodi reviews progress of various CSSs in Anantnag

ANANTNAG : The Member Parliament, Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency, Hasnain Masoodi today chaired a meeting of officers of  Health, RDD, Labour, Social Welfare, PMGSY, R&B, Hydraulic, Jal Shakti, ICDS, PDD, Flood Control, Food & Supplies, BDC chairpersons, Presidents of MC’s and Sarpanchs to review the progress  of various Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs) in the district.

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, K K Sidha apprised the MP about the targets and achievements made in various welfare & developmental sectors in the district through power point presentation.

While briefing the MP, the DDC said that under employment generating scheme MGNREGA the district has issued 98845 job cards with 255046 numbers of workers having an approved target of Rs.18.02 lac till October.

He said so far 1750 works have been taken with instructions to take one work from every ward of Panchayat during B2V3. In PMAY (Housing for all) total registered 22293 a target of 2315 stands sanctioned with 1861 completed and with directions to complete the rest ones till ending October.

DDC said that Panchayats have been instructed to dig composite pits for disposal of solid waste material and also are authorized to purchase locally made dustbins. He further added that for effective disposal of garbage under SBM-G, the Panchayats have been instructed to coordinate with MC’s.

Member Parliament appreciated the DDC Anantnag for his efforts for proper implementation of Govt. Schemes and upliftment of the public.

He elaborated that CSSs are implemented in view of uniform needs of people such as upliftment of deprived sections, development of the Agriculture sector, women empowerment etc throughout the country.

The MP stressed up on the officers to work in coordination to achieve desired results with respect to the target groups.

Keeping in view, the upcoming winter Masoodi stressed the PDD officials to ensure proper supply of electricity during the cold winter season. He further stressed upon the health officials to keep available health facilities at PHC’s so that overburden to District Hospital is minimized.

He also advised the social welfare officers to ensure timely disbursement of payments to the beneficiaries under various welfare schemes.

The PRI & ULB members besides President MC Bijbehara, BDC Chairman of Block Dachnipora, BDC Chittergul and BDC Shangus raised their specific demands before the MP.
