Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President, Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah on Tuesday expressed profound grief over the demise of Haji Chaudhary Ghulam Ahmed, father of senior party leader and former Minister Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan.

While expressing grief over the demise, Party President said, “The news of the passing away of Choudary Sahib’s revered father Chaudhary Ghulam Ahmed sahib has saddened me. I express my unison with the bereaved family in particular Choudhary Ramzan Sahib. I pray to Almighty to grant highest stations to the deceased in Jannah and much needed fortitude to the grief-stricken family members. The deceased was a pious person, he will be remembered for his highly endowed personality,” he said.

Party Vice President Omar Abdullah in his condolence message expressed grief over the demise of Chaudhary Ramzan’s father, prayed for peace to the deceased, and much needed strength to the bereaved to bear the irreparable loss. “I express my sympathies with the bereaved family in particular Choudhary Ramzan Sahib. I pray for the highest echelons to the deceased in Jannah,” he said.

Meanwhile Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah visited Handwara and participated in the Namaz e Janaza of Chaudhary Ghulam Ahmed.  Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Sharief Ud Din Shariq, Showkat Ahmed Mir, Mir Saifullah, Qaisar Jamsheed Lone, GR Naaz, Mushtaq Guroo, Kwaja Yaqoob Wani, Syed Rafiq Shah also participated in the Namaz e Janaza.

Members of Parliament Muhammad Akbar lone and Hasnain Masoodi also condoled the demise of Choudhary Ghulam Ahmed, prayed for peace to his soul and strength to the bereaved.

Peoples Conference President and former minister Sajad Gani Lone also condoled the demise of father of NC senior Leader, Mohammad Ramzan Choudhry and prayed for the departed soul.

While expressing condolences with Chaudhry Muhammad Ramzan and family, Lone said, “I am pained and deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Haji Ghulam Ahmad Chaudhry. My heartfelt condolences to the family of Chaudhry Muhammad Ramzan. May Allah grant the departed soul the highest place in Jannah and give strength and patience to the bereaved family in this difficult hour.”

He said that it is a personal loss to him and the deceased was a gentleman and humble soul.

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) condoled the sad demise.

In a statement, Party Spokesman and Media Advisor to the Party President Syed Suhail Bukhari expressed profound grief over the demise of Haji Ghulam Ahmad Choudhry, father of NC Leader and prayed for the departed soul.

Meanwhile, Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Tuesday condoled the demise of Haji Ghulam Ahmad Choudhary.

In a condolence message issued here, Bukhari described the deceased as a noble person who was known for his philanthropist activities in the area.
