BJP will not have open field in upcoming Civic By-polls: JKYDP

Srinagar : J&K Youth Democratic Party (JKYDP) Sunday said that it is going to contest upcoming polls to various municipal bodies in Kashmir.

In a statement issued here, JKYDP spokesperson said that reputed and renowned public figures youngsters would be new faces to contest by-polls to civic bodies.

He said the party will not leave field open for BJP and will be an arch-rival for BJP candidates.

“Our party is youth centric. We believe youth have prime responsibility. Rather than being complaints of victimhood, we are coming forward to end injustice, nepotism and favoritism in system,” he said.

“People will be very happy to know that our team and members comprises mostly the youngsters whom you watch in Tv debates, discussions and who are on forefront to fight for the people’s rights,” he said.

He said that the security of candidates would be a concern and the party has sought an appointment with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to bring the matter into his notice.

Congratulating party workers on working tirelessly, he hoped that YDP’s sincere efforts would strengthen democracy at the grassroots level in the Kashmir.

He said all those boycotting or opposing the civic polls were doing injustice to the common people.

“JKYDP is the real well-wisher of the people of Kashmir and we urge people of Kashmir to come forward and vote for peace, prosperity, progress and development,” he said.
