Srinagar: A renowned teacher and a philanthropist of Tangmarg — who presently was residing at Bagh-e-Mehtab in Srinagar– Ghulam Ahmad Jawhar passed away October 08 (Thursday) evening.
He was laid to rest same evening.
Hailing from Treran village of Tangmarg, G A Jawhar, properly known as Jawhar Sahib, served in the Education department and did a lot to help uneducated and unprivileged to have access to education.
Jawhar Sahib’s demise has been condoled widely by people of Tangmarg.
