Srinagar: Three drug peddlers were arrested – one from Budgam district and two from Srinagar district, a police spokesman said.
The spokesman said that one person was intercepted at a checkpoint established near Post Office Chadoora and 11 bottles of Codeine Phosphate and 960 capsules of Spasmoproxyvon Plus were recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Arfat Ahmad Yatoo resident of Talipora Nagam Chadoora and has been detained, said the spokesman.
Two more drug peddlers were arrested from Parimpora area of Srinagar psychotropic substance was recovered from their possession, said the spokesman.
He said that Police on Parimpora Bye-pass intercepted two persons riding on a scooty bearing registration number JKO1T-0630 carrying 05 cardboard boxes. 500 bottles of Codeine Phosphate concealed in the cardboard boxes which they were carrying on the scooty were recovered from their possession, said the spokesman.
He further said that the arrested persons were identified as Moin Ahmad Shah resident of Hilalabad Qamarwari Srinagar and Muzaffar Ahmad Lisoo resident of Rampora chattabal, presentlt at Hamdania colony Bemina Srinagar.
