Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir recorded 18 more COVID-19 deaths on Tuesday, taking their number to 1,164, while 1,081 new cases pushed the infection tally in the Union territory to 74,095, officials said.

Eleven fatalities were reported from Jammu and seven from the Valley, they added.

“The UT recorded 1,081 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours — 640 in Jammu and 441 in the Kashmir Valley,” the officials said.

There are 17,414 active cases of the disease in the UT currently, while 55,517 patients have recovered so far, they said.

Jammu district reported the highest number of 313 new cases, followed by 222 in Srinagar district, the officials said.

Providing district-wise breakup, the officials said that Srinagar has 14712 positive cases (including 222 cases reported today) with 2138 Active Positive, 12285 recovered (including 187 cases recovered today), 289 deaths; Baramulla has 4335 positive cases (including 62 cases reported today) with 1280 Active Positive, 2931 recovered (including 15 cases recovered today), 124 deaths; Pulwama reported 3909 positive cases (including 24 cases reported today) with 433 active positive cases, 3408 recovered (including 42 cases recovered today), 68 deaths; Kulgam has 2260 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 118 Active Positive, 2099 recoveries (including 19 cases recovered today), 43 deaths; Shopian has 2025 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 193 Active Positive, 1800 recovered (including 09 cases reported today), 32 deaths; Anantnag district has 3503 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 431 Active Positive, 3009 recovered (including 20 cases recovered today), 63 deaths;  Budgam has 4820 positive cases (including 29 cases reported today) with 964 Active Positive and 3774 recovered (including 109 cases recovered today), 82 deaths; Kupwara has 3575 positive cases (including 36 cases reported today) with 816 Active Positive, 2692 recovered (including 32 cases recovered today), 67 deaths; Bandipora has 3385 positive cases (including 22 cases reported today) with 478 Active Positive, 2870 recovered (including 107 cases recovered today), 37 deaths and  Ganderbal has 2868 positive cases (including 24 cases reported today) with 388 active positive cases, 2452 recoveries (including 95 cases recovered today) and 28 deaths.

Similarly, Jammu has 12662 positive cases (including 313 cases reported today) with 3585 active positive cases, 8897 recoveries (including 300 cases recovered today), 180 deaths; Rajouri has 2626 positive cases (including 61 cases reported today) with 1307 active positive cases, 1288 recovered (including 21 cases recovered today), 31 deaths; Ramban has 1323 positive cases (including 28 cases reported today) with 455 active positive, 858 recoveries (including 28 cases recovered today), 10 deaths; Kathua has 2051 positive cases (including 29 cases reported today) with 526 Active positive, 1504 recovered (including 41 cases recovered today), 21 deaths; Udhampur has 2212 positive cases (including 49 cases reported today) with 490 active positive cases, 1704 recovered (including 40 cases recovered today), 18 deaths; Samba has 1738 positive cases (including 44 cases reported today) with 810 Active Positive, 908 recoveries (including 39 cases reported today), 20 deaths; Doda has 2193 positive cases (including 34 cases reported today) with 1110 active positive cases, 1056 recoveries (including 43 cases recovered today), 27 deaths; Poonch has 1747 positive cases (including 21 cases reported today) with 936 active positive, 799 recoveries (including 59 cases reported today), 12 deaths; Reasi has 945 positive cases (including 15 cases reported today) with 394 active positive, 546 recoveries  and 05 deaths while Kishtwar has 1206 positive cases (including 46 cases reported today) with 562 active positive cases and 637 recoveries (including 44 cases reported today)  and 07 deaths.
