Akbar Lone reviews implementation of CSS’s, dev works at B’la

BARAMULLA : Member Parliament, Baramulla Lok Sabha Constituency, Mohammad Akbar Lone today visited Baramulla and chaired a meeting of various officers to take detailed review of the implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes (CSS) and projects here.

On the occasion, the DDC presented the status and progress of various centrally sponsored schemes and programmes besides giving a detailed presentation of various developmental projects undertaken by various executing agencies, through the powerpoint presentation.

He said that district Baramulla is leading in various aspects on developmental fronts adding that the various novel measures were taken by the administration to control the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

After taking a thorough review of various developmental works undertaken in centrally sponsored programmes, Akbar Lone stressed to productively utilize the available resources so that the desired results are achieved.

He stressed upon the concerned officers to work with added zeal and enthusiasm and said that these CSS’s are meant for the welfare of people so their implementation on the ground level is vital.

He also sought feedback from the officers and urged them to identify all the bottlenecks, if any, so that appropriate measures are taken to sort out these within a time bound manner.

The MP also assured all possible assistance and support to the district administration especially with regard to allotment of funds.

Among others, the meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo, Chief Engineer PHE, and SEs of various engineering departments besides other concerned officers.
