While introducing Treyoat, Poet Gulab Saify said that among all the well established and commonplace forms of poetry, this new and versatile genre is singularly the one which is devised and based on certain specific word count.

While summarizing the origin of word ‘Treyoat’ and the style of newly created Genre, he said, the name ‘Treyoat’ has been taken from classical Sanskrit language. The root word being “Tri” meaning 3 (three), “Treyoat”, thus refers to a poetic piece “in threes”, “of threes”, or “comprising three units”.

Later, a panel discussion was also held on Treyoat in which prominent poets participated.

The function was attended by Secretary Cultural Academy, Muneer ul Islam, Chief Editor, Mohammed Arhraf Tak, poet, Rafiq Raaz, Shabir Ahmad Shabir and other prominent poets and literary personalities.
