DF&ES initiates enquiry on “media coverage and the statement of GPC members”

SRINAGAR : The Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services (DF&ES), J&K Batamaloo today initiated Departmental enquiry on the media coverage and the statement of GPC members over the issue related to the demise of one of the employees of the department.

As per the statement issued here, the Director F&ES has stated that the department has taken strict cognizance of the media coverage and the statement of GPC members over the issue related to the demise of Suraj Pal Singh, an employee of F&ES in Magam due to Covid-19 on September 21, 2020.

The statement read that a social media post by the deceased fire service personnel has also been taken note of.

“Considering the sensitivity of the content in the above media post, an immediate Departmental enquiry has been initiated by the Directorate of F&SE J&K and the Deputy Director F&ES Ramban/Udhampur has been nominated as a Departmental Enquiry Officer,” the statement further read.

Meanwhile, the Directorate of F&ES has assured a quick and thorough enquiry into the content raised in the media post.
