Dulloo interacts with doctors, paramedical staff at GMC Jmu

JAMMU : Financial Commissioner Health and Medical Education, Atal Dulloo today held an interaction with the doctors and para-medical staff here at Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu.

During the interaction, several issues were discussed regarding the problems faced by the doctors and the para-medical staff besides the measures to be taken for strengthening infrastructure in the hospitals for better patient care.

The Financial Commissioner assured the doctors and the para-medical staff that all their issues are under active consideration of the department and would be addressed on a priority basis.

Regarding the issue of shortage of staff, the FC said that   recruitment has been made to address the manpower shortage at all levels. He also said that the specialists from peripheries will be posted in new GMCs for their strengthening.

The FC also informed that oxygen plants have been sanctioned for all hospitals and the same would start working in next 4-5 months.

Regarding the complaints in food quality, he said that DC Jammu will look into the food quality issue and also said that a dedicated canteen will be set up for faculty members.

He also assured the doctors that liquid oxygen plant will start working in GMCH soon and RAT testing would be conducted in the Emergency ward of the Hospital.

The FC also assured them that High Dependency Unit will be operationalized on priority with some beds/rooms dedicated for faculty members. He also said that the faculty guest house will be repaired at the earliest and rooms to be given to COVID positive faculty members requiring isolation.
