Dir Horticulture visits CoE, Hi-tech Walnut Nursery at Khonmoh

SRINAGAR : Director Horticulture Kashmir, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat today visited Anantnag to inspect departmental nurseries and various other orchards.

During the visit he inspected departmental Fruit Plant Nursery Ganeshpora where he was briefed about various varieties of walnuts that are being propagated at nursery so that quality plants are produced for distribution amongst the orchardists.

He also visited various orchards in the district and directed the field officers to maintain a close liaison with the growers (orchardists) so that they get the timely technical knowhow about orchard management and  get benefitted from the departmental schemes.

Instructions were given to all the staff of the department to remain available for orchardists of their respective areas.
