ANANTNAG, SEPTEMBER 21: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, K.K. Sidha who is also chairman of District Skill Committee today convened a meeting of concerned officers directing them to undertake registration of beneficiaries during the Jan Abhiyan programme on Wednesdays.

He instructed them to ensure installation of stalls for the registration of eligible beneficiaries for scholarships, skill development training, registration of building construction labourers, holding of financial literacy / financial inclusion camps by all bank branches on 30th of September 2020 under Jan Abhiyan at block headquarters of the district.

The superintendent ITI informed that the skill development programme under various trades like fruit cultivation, preservation, entrepreneurship development in agriculture business, tourism and travel executive, tourist guide, cook, travel operator, tour agent, auto mobile, banking accounting and insurance, beauty culture and hair dressing, electrical, electronics, fashion designing, wood work, media, handicrafts and handlooms will start from Ist November 2020.

The DDC asked the concerned to adhere to the directions laid by LG for focusing on skill developmental activities including farm and nonfarm in light of changing of labour market during his recent visit to the district. He also directed to sensitize the beneficiaries regarding various welfare and employment oriented schemes of the Government.

The meeting was attended by GM Industries Peerzada Zahoor Ahmad, Principal ITI Anantnag, LDM JK Bank , officers of JK EDI, labour, FC, OBC ST  and Education.
