SHOPIAN : District Development Commissioner Shopian, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin today chaired District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and District Consultative Committee (DCC) meeting to review the performance of Banks and line departments for the first quarter of the financial year 2020-21 ended 30th June 2020 here.

During the meeting threadbare discussion was held on progress and achievements made by the banks in the implementation of various government sponsored schemes.

DDC emphasized upon the banks to increase the lending in agriculture and allied activities to generate employment in the district and also exhorted upon them to work in synergy with the departments and conduct camps to spread awareness among the people about various banking schemes to increase the credit plan flow in various sectors.

He urged upon the all participants to ensure timely sponsorship and early credit dispensation of cases during the current financial year to achieve all the set targets leading to generation of self-employment opportunities in the district.

The DDC underscored the need for a greater coordination between banks and line departments besides directed the concerned to cover the beneficiaries under various social security schemes and ensure cent percent coverage of all form operating families under KCC scheme.

The meeting discussed in detail the progress and achievements made by the banks in the implementation of various government sponosored schemes like KCC, MUDRA, credit cards, PMJDY, PMSBY, PMJJBY, APY, EBT/DBT beside loans provided banks under direct lending mode and digitization was also discussed.

The meeting was attended by LDM Shopian, Gh Rasool Dar, DDM NABARD, Cluster Head J&K Bank, district coordinators and concerned officers of various departments.
