Samoon reviews status of students’ data uploading on National Scholarship Portal

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 17:  Principal Secretary, School Education and Skill Development, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon, today convened a meeting to review the status of uploading of data of eligible students of Jammu and Kashmir on National Scholarship Portal (NSP) under different scholarship schemes.

The meeting was attended by Director Skill Development Sajad Hussain; Director Planning Social Welfare Department, Dr Umera Shafq and Additional Secretary Higher Education Department, Ali Asgar attended the meeting while Director School Education Kashmir M Y Malik; Director School Education Jammu Anuradha Gupta; Deputy Commissioners of both the divisions; Chief Education Officers and other concerned official participated through video conference.

Additional Secretary informed the meeting that 4448 students have availed scholarship under Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) last year and the department has fixed a double target for the current financial year.

Director Planning SWD also gave detailed report about uploading of nominations of eligible students in the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) during the current year so far.

Principal Secretary instructed the heads of the department to make sure that all eligible candidates are uploaded in the NSP accurately so that maximum students could get benefited from scholarship schemes of the government.
