Jammu: At least eight persons including two minors received injuries after a vehicle they were travelling in turned turtle near Government Degree College Mendhar in Jammu division.

Reports reaching GNS said that a Tata Sumo bearing Registration Number JK12-B 5242 met the accident this afternoon leading injuries to eight on board passengers.

The injured persons have been identified as Niyaz Ahmad (40) son of Jamal Uddin resident of Dheri, Mohammad Sadiq (65) son of Sahaf-ud-Din resident of Chajjla, Ghulam Nabi (35) son of Nazir Hussain resident of Dharana, Nazarat Hussain (24) son of Jamal Din resident of Dharana including two underage persons Mohammad Imran (7) son of Abdul Rehman resident of Chajjla and Saima Kousar (16) daughter of Sarfaraz Ahmad resident of Dharana area in the district.

All the injured persons were shifted to sub-district Mendhar for treatment, reports said.

Block Medical Officer Dr. Parvaiz Ahmad Khan confirming the incident said that the injured persons are undergoing treatment at the hospital. (GNS)
