GDC Baramulla organizes Urdu on Mushaira Bribery

Baramulla: A literary function and Mushaira on ‘Bribery- a disgrace in this world and ignominy in hereafter’ was organized by Urdu Department of Government Degree College Baramulla under an ongoing ‘Teachers Enrichment Program’ (TEP) sponsored under CPE – a flagship program of UGC.

Adabi Markaz Kamraz AMK President Farooq Rafiabadi was the chief guest while as former Director North Camps Kashmir University Prof Irshad Ahmad Wani and former Principal GDC Baramulla Prof Mohammad Ismial was guests of hour.

Principal GDC Prof. Mohammad Maqbool Rather presided over the function and highlighted ills of bribery evil which is rife in the society.

At the outset of the program Prof. A. M. Chalkoo, Convener IQAC and CPE/UGC scheme and Coordinator, TEP, presented a detailed account of TEP and the UGC scheme of CPE Prof. A. M. HOD Urdu Prof. Syed Masrat Geelani said bribery has caused widespread damage to the entire society and all religions prohibit from it and all people should refrain from accepting and giving bribe.

Many poets recited their recent poetry on this subject and expressed their dismay over the growing scale of this menace in the society.The poets present in the function include Bashar Bashir, Sagar Nazir, G M Mahir, G D Bhar and other poets.
