Bashar Basheer Zogiyari releases Kashmiri poetry collection ‘Nida’

Sheeri: A collection of Kashmiri poetry titled ‘Nida’ was released by Bashar Basheer Zogiyari of Sheeri Narvaw during a literary function held at Zogiyar Sheeri Baramulla on Sunday.

The function was organized by Sagar Cultural Forum Tchuker Pattan.

The book was released by broadcaster and former Director Radio Kashmir Srinagar who was the chief guest, while as noted producer and broadcaster Rasheed Nizami was guest of honour who was flanked by Adabi Markaz Kamraz AMK Presiden Farooq Rafiabadi and vice President AMK Syed Rasheed Jawher.

The poet has dedicated this book to a famous social activist and political figure Ghulam ud-Din Gulshan who left for heavenly abode after a brief illness in the month of Ramdah last year.

On the occasion, the speakers hailed the efforts of poet Bashar Basheer and his contribution in the field of Kashmiri poetry and literature despite not having much formal education.

Other renowned poet and writers who attended the function were Sagar Nazeer, Azhar Hashmi, Raja Nazar Boniyari, G M Maher, Dar Mushtaq, Sabir Mohidin, Jegar Narwaie, G D Bahar, Abdul Ahad Alhami, Manzoor Rather, Rayees Ganai, Khurshid Alam.
