JAMMU : Asserting that there is no question of compromising with the interests of Jammu region, party’s Provincial President Devender Singh Rana today said that it is matter of faith for the National Conference to work for satiating the urges and aspirations of all the regions of Jammu and Kashmir and their sub regions with equal opportunities of progress and development.

“Attempts of undermining the Jammu interest will face stiff resistance and there is no question of compromising with it, come what may,” Rana said during his interactions with several delegations here, which called on him all the day, adding that sidelining Jammu means insulting the self-respecting people, who have always been big hearted despite being marginalized in every sphere by the self-styled champions of this region.

Rana said the National Conference has and will continue to raise the issues pertaining to Jammu region at every forum.

“We are the inheritors of the political philosophy of unity in diversity and single entity of J&K,” he said, adding that this bonding cannot be disturbed by the myopic political agenda of those against the spirit of inclusiveness.

“The party’s regional autonomy concept, documented over two and a half decades ago is reflective of the distinct aspirations of the regions as per their ethos, culture and requirement according to needs of the time,” he said.
