PM to soon e-inaugurate two CFCs at Ranipora Anantnag, Rudbug Budgam: VC J&K KVIB

Srinagar : Vice Chairperson J&K KVIB, Hina Shafi Bhat, Wednesday chaired a meeting of Monitoring Committee under SFURTI at Sanat Ghar Bemina Srinagar.

The meeting was attended by various stakeholders including Nodal Agency (NA), Implementing Agencies (IA), Technical Agency (TA) and other Executing Agencies (EA’s).

The Vice chairperson informed that the Prime Minister is expected to e-inaugurate two CFCs at Ranipora Anantnag and Rudbug Budgam very soon. “The clusters are coming up with financial outlay of Rs. 8.90 crores. The commissioning of these clusters besides adding to the income levels of associated workers will also raise the production,” she said.

“The CFCs shall have facilities like dyeing, calendaring, washing, packaging, etc. Besides marketing support shall also be provided to associated workers,” she added.

On the occasion, the decision for release of funds for construction of civil works of three Jammu based clusters and three Kashmir based clusters was also taken. It was informed that these six clusters are expected to come up in second half of 2020-21.

The Vice Chairperson asked all stakeholders to ensure that all the clusters come up in a time bound manner.
