Labourer drowns during sand extraction in Pampore

Srinagar : A young man drowned during sand extraction from the river Jhelum in Samboora area of Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday.

Reports said 21-year-old Irshad Ahmad Sheikh, son of Bashir Ahmad Sheikh of Laroo Kakapora slipped from a boat into the river while extracting sand today morning in Karnabal area.
