COVID-19: 6 patients discharged from HD Unit of SKIMS Bemina after recovery

SRINAGAR: Six persons were today discharged from High Dependency Unit of SKIMS Bemina (JVC) after successful completion of treatment and testing negative for Covid-19.

According to a press release, the patients discharged were admitted under Department of Medicine in High Dependency Unit (HDU) and among the discharged patients four had severe COVID Pneumonia with Severe Respiratory Distress, and were put on High Flow Oxygen besides other COVID treatment.

“Furthermore, one patient received Convalescent Plasma Therapy (CPT) and the patients were monitored on day to day basis till their oxygen saturation remained 94 percent on room air and were discharged from HDU,” it said.

“With this the number of COVID-19 recovered patient’s moves to 905, out of total COVID positive admitted patients numbering 1004 till date. The recovery rate at present is 90.13 percent with a mortality of 2.88 percent as 29 patients with severe covid pneumonia could not fight the disease and passed away,” it reads.

“Till date 75 deliveries of COVID positive pregnant ladies have been conducted including 46 major surgeries (LSCS) for complicated child birth. Besides, the COVID Testing Lab at SKIMS Medical College Hospital, Bemina is conducting around 500 tests daily and till date 42019 tests have been conducted,” it added.
