Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party President and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Monday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of senior party functionary and worker Sheikh Abdul Rahman of Wakoora, Ganderal.

Expressing grief over the demise of Sheikh Abdul Rahman Sahib, Dr Farooq prayed for peace to his soul and fortitude to the bereaved family members of his to bear the irreparable loss. While paying tributes party president said Sheikh Sahib was a valiant soldier of party, who held the party flag high even during the most trying times. “I pay my tributes to him, may Almighty bestow highest echelons to his departed soul in Jannah. He will be remembered for his selfless service towards the party,” he said. Party’s senior leader Mian Altaf Ahmed has also extended condolences to the bereaved family of late Sheikh Abdul Rahman Sahib, and prayed for peace to the departed soul.

Dr Fraooq also expressed grief over the demise of noted socio-religious personality Alhaj Syed Ghulam Ud Din Shah Bazaz of Babadem, Srinagar.

While expressing grief over the demise of Ghulam Ud Din Shah Sahib, Party President prayed for eternal repose to his soul and fortitude to his bereaved family members. Party President also extended condolences to Party leader Shafkat Watali in his hour of grief and prayed for much needed strength to the entire family to bear the inconsolable loss.
