Uri: Srinagar-Muzaffrabad road was closed for vehicular traffic in north Kashmir’s Uri on Friday morning after rains triggered landslides along the road leaving over hundred vehicles stranded.
“Our men and machinery are on job and highway will be cleared for vehicular traffic shortly,” said a BRO official while talking to a news agency- GNS.
Stating that it was not for the first time that the road has been closed due to landslides, the locals appealed the administration for a proper plan to ensure safety of travellers and functioning of the road.
