Srinagar: An 18-year-old girl hanged herself to death at her home in Natipora area of Srinagar on Tuesday evening, officials said on Wednesday.
They said that an 18-year-old girl (name withheld) hanged herself to death at her home in Azad Basti, Natipora Srinagar yesterday evening.
“After spotted hanging from a ceiling, her family members rushed her to SMHS hospital where doctors declared her dead on arrival,” KNO quoted officials as saying.
Doctors at the SMHS hospital confirmed to KNO that the girl was brought dead to the hospital.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and started investigations into the matter.
A case has been registered at Police Station Natipora and investigations taken up.
