Sources said that a Class IV employee had earlier tested positive for COVID-19 following which the authorities started contact tracing at DSEK and KBGHSS as well.

“Five employees tested positive for COVID-19 at Directorate of School Education — three belong to Jammu and two are from Kashmir. After hectic contact tracing process, two of the employees of KBGHSS, who were sharing common room with a DSEK employee, also tested positive,” an official told ‘Kashmir Images’.

He also said that the office premises of KBGHSS including auditorium hall were fumigated while staff was directed to leave.

Officials further said rigorous contact tracing process would be started to find out if there are other employees also who may have been exposed to the deadly virus.
