Tangmarg: Labourers of Tangmarg area on Thursday staged a protest in Tangmarg. They were demanding immediate revocation of e-tendering of Nallah Ferozpora in north Kashmir.
The protesting labourers told KNS that they are earning their livelihood from Nallah Ferozpora. “Thousands of labours are working in the nallah for the past thirty years and this is the only source of income for a large number of labourer.
They said that few months ago, Geology and Mining department started the e-tending process of Ferozpora nallah in tangmarg area and allotted nallah to the contractor “but he is not allowing us to work in Ferozpora nallah”.
The labourers have appealed the governor led administration to revoke the decision of e-trending on Ferozpora nallah.
