“Neither the administrative block has been sealed not have the contacts of those, who tested positive, been quarantined,” sources in the hospital said.

Meanwhile, authorities at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura on Thursday urged journalists to cover and report ongoing Covid-19 crisis sensibly—assuring that a robust mechanism was in place at the tertiary-level healthcare institute to deal with the Pandemic.

“We appreciate the positive role of the media for highlighting some relevant issues in the healthcare system but at the same time however when the social media has taken over the news gathering machinery, I urge the esteemed journalists and the editors of the news media organizations to at least cross check the facts.,” SKIMS spokesperson said in a statement issued here today.

The spokesperson said that Administrative Block and other blocks of the hospital are sanitized as per requirements.

“We assure people that all the guidelines are followed and SKIMS would continue to provide quality healthcare, come what may,” said the spokesperson.
