Srinagar: The body of a woman was recovered from Nallah Sindh in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday.
Reports said that the body was spotted in Sindh stream near Gonchi Mohalla in Akhal area of Kangan by the locals who informed the police.
A police official confirmed that a female body has been recovered. He said the body has been identified as that of 30-year-old Rubeena Jan, wife of Abdul Majeed Khan of Gonchi Mohalla Akhal Kangan, who was missing from July 11, 2020.
Medico-legal formalities were completed at Sub District Hospital Kangan and the body was later handed over to the family for the last rites, he said.
